At Sir Harry Smith Community College we have a very successful Alumni Group of ex-students and staff.
We are very proud of our strong community links, and our Alumni Group allows us to celebrate the achievements of those who have left the College and through regular updates we can keep our members up-to-date with developments, plans and activities at SHSCC.
Ex-students play a vital role in helping develop the College, and their achievements can inspire our current students to work hard, aspire and broaden their horizons. It also enables the College to improve links with members of the community and develop links between our current and former students who have gone on to attend university, apprenticeships, and self-employment or embark on various careers. Annually, we hold an Alumni Careers event, where ex-students visit the College to talk to students who are interested in following a similar career pathway. This has proved very beneficial to our current cohort, who get first hand advice and guidance from someone who has achieved their goal from the same starting point.
