We believe that all children can thrive in a College community where they are known, valued and feel safe. We enjoy excellent links with our partner primary schools, which allow us to provide continuity between Year 6 and 7 to the benefit of the students. This transfer process is supplemented by subject-based sessions in year 6 and Summer Schools, which remove the fear of the unknown for many students.
Our strong system of pastoral care supports our young people towards independence and encourages them to build strong peer relationships and enables them to interact easily with educational professionals and aids them in their social development. Each student will be placed in a tutor group with a designated tutor and Head of House who will share the role of caring for a student’s personal development as well as looking at the wider picture of their overall academic success.
